Approving, declining and changing suggestions

You approve changes by replying in your own words. Nothing in your numbered list is applied until you say so.

Replying to your Google Ads email

You want to…Reply with, for example
Approve everythingyes to all, yes, do it
Approve somedo 1 and 3, yes to 1-4, yes except 2
Decline onenot 3, skip 3, I don't want to do 3
Decline allno, not now, skip all
Hold offwait, not yet, give it a few days

Approve with a changeyes 1 but say "Get a Free Quote"

If you decline a suggestion in your own words, that always wins, even if the rest of your reply says yes. Held suggestions aren't applied, and your note goes to our team.

What happens after you say yes

  • Your agent usually picks up your reply within minutes. When it's busy, it can take up to an hour or two.
  • You get a reply confirming what was done, for example "2 changes applied", with anything you declined listed under "Skipping as requested".
  • Budget and bid changes in your numbered list are applied when you approve them. Your yes is the approval.
  • A few changes, such as switching a paused keyword back on, get a quick check from our team before they go live. Your agent tells you when that happens.
  • Everything is recorded in Tweak Logs on your dashboard.

Replying to your Facebook & Instagram email

  • Reply 1, 1 and 3 or all to approve, or no / no to 2 to skip.
  • New wording or a new design launches as a new ad alongside your current ads. Your existing ad keeps running, so you can see which does better.
  • Prefer a human designer? Reply designer please and one of our designers takes it on.

Confirming changes you asked for

When you email your agent with a request (see Asking your agent for something new), it stages the change and replies with exactly what it will do, ending with:

Reply YES to apply, or "skip" to cancel. Nothing's been changed yet.

  • To go ahead, reply yes, confirm, go ahead or approved.
  • To cancel, reply skip, cancel or no.
  • Reply from the same email address you sent the request from.
  • If the agent asks you to reply with particular words (for example "block them"), reply with exactly those words.

These confirmations expire

A staged change waits one hour for your reply, or 24 hours for campaign builds, pausing or switching things on, and larger batches. Budget changes always expire after one hour, because the numbers move. If you haven't replied after an hour, you'll get one reminder. If a change expires, nothing happens; just ask again.

Prefer to approve in your dashboard?

Everything in your emails also appears in Tweak Logs, where you can Implement or Dismiss each suggestion. Changes proposed in Einstein are approved on the card itself.

How your agent stays careful

  • It won't suggest pausing a campaign or ad group in its first 14 days, while Google is still learning.
  • It never points your ads at social media or profile pages.
  • It follows your standing instructions and your industry's compliance rules every time.
